Annandale Takes Refreshing Dive Into Rock With “Moving Forward” EP

Many artists evolve by expanding their sound into experiments and extremes, hoping that these layers will lead to their own musical Renaissance. But hard rock duo “Annandale,” was reborn by peeling these layers away, stripping down their sound to nothing more than what keeps us human. And to pure rock and roll.

The fiery Knoxville duo of Ashley and Chad Grennor is releasing a stirring debut EP, “Moving Forward.” Their first album is proving to be anything but amateur, due in part to the veteran finesse of producers Clint Lowery (Sevendust, Call Me No One, Hello Demons Meet Skeletons) and Morgan Rose (Sevendust, Call Me No One).

Annandale’s intertwining voices awaken you with a comfortable tension, marking their sound with harmonies that remain chilling without sacrificing vocal strength. Blazing guitar lines and steady, upbeat percussion complement their signature melodies, and frame today’s mainstream rock elements with a creative, distinct sound.

As they cement their musical identity in “Moving Forward,” it’s not surprising that Annandale’s lyrics are tied together with the common thread of self-discovery.

“Both our lyrics and the process of creating this EP are centered around us finding ourselves, and it helps keep our music honest” said Ashley Grennor. “That’s a message we think everyone can connect to.”
